Newly Formed Group Raises $2 Million in First Five Days
Solutions for Wisconsin, a newly formed super PAC that will focus on the 2018 U.S. Senate race is Wisconsin, is announcing its endorsement of potential candidate Kevin Nicholson. The Wisconsin native, who is a combat veteran, successful business leader and Delafield, WI family man, is widely expected to challenge incumbent Democrat Tammy Baldwin. To encourage Nicholson to enter the race and support his candidacy, Solutions for Wisconsin raised $2 million within its first five days of formation.
Solutions for Wisconsin supporter Richard Uihlein, founder of the Pleasant Prairie-based Uline company, explained that early support and party unity are “crucial for the 2018 cycle”.
“I am excited to support Solutions for Wisconsin and to strongly urge Kevin Nicholson to run for the U.S. Senate,” Uihlein declared, adding: “I’ve never made a commitment of this significance so early in a cycle. Kevin served our country in the Marines including combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I look forward to him serving our country again . . . this time as a common sense voice for Wisconsin in the United States Senate.”
Uihlein continued, “I strongly encourage others to support this effort and avoid a repeat of 2012’s divisive Republican primary. I look forward to continuing to support Solutions for Wisconsin.”
