In three months, Ryan raises $16.4 million for the NRCC
Washington, D.C. – House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) announced that he will transfer $7 million to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) to end the month of March. This monthly sum is a record for any Republican Speaker of the House and brings Ryan’s total transfers to the NRCC to $16.4 million in 2017.
The House campaign arm – fueled by Ryan’s strong backing – is off to a record breaking start to the year. As the leader of the House Republican Conference, Speaker Ryan is proud to do his part in supporting his colleagues. U.S. Rep. Steve Stivers, the NRCC Chairman, has been relentless and already has the committee in great shape. Since becoming Speaker in late 2015, Ryan has sent close to $60 million to the committee.
Kevin Seifert, Speaker Ryan’s top political adviser and the Executive Director of Team Ryan, said: “A year and a half ago, Paul Ryan became speaker with virtually no political infrastructure. Since then, he has established a national political operation that can be put up against anyone else. Team Ryan was built around the Speaker’s focus on policy and his ability to articulate a positive, conservative vision for America.
“This remains the focus and in the early part of 2017, Ryan has been humbled by the interest in the Republican agenda – to enact bold reforms and get our country back-on-track. This continues to be a motivating force for our supporters across the country.”
Team Ryan is Speaker Paul Ryan’s federal Joint Fundraising Committee (JFC) and his national political organization. Team Ryan is dedicated to assisting his re-election efforts in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District, supporting Republicans across the country who are advancing conservative solutions, and raising the resources needed to defend and strengthen the Republican majority in Congress.
The Team Ryan JFC is comprised of Ryan for Congress, Inc., Prosperity Action PAC, Inc. & the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).
