Madison…Assembly Republicans are calling on the Wisconsin delegation in the U.S. Senate to support Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court. A group of 52 members of the Assembly Republican caucus sent a letter to Senators Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin asking them to vote in favor of the qualified nominee. The letter also calls out Senate Democrats for impeding the process.
“With individual Senate Democrats now going on record saying that Judge Gorsuch will be confirmed, any interference in the confirmation would be a disservice to our country. We urge Senator Baldwin and her Democratic colleagues to cease their political gamesmanship with this deserving choice for the nation’s highest court.”
The Republican representatives view Judge Gorsuch as a qualified nominee who is a highly regarded legal scholar who will uphold the integrity of the court and rule of law.
