Madison…Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) released the following statement regarding the legislative package from the Speaker’s Task Force on Foster Care, which is being called, “Foster Forward.”
“The Foster Forward initiatives are a positive step forward in addressing the issues within the foster care system. These children, at no fault of their own, face challenging circumstances. We want them to have every opportunity to succeed in life and become productive citizens.
“I want to thank the co-chairs Reps. Pat Snyder and Steve Doyle for leading the task force. Their work is yet another example of how by working together in a bipartisan way, we can find possible solutions to problems facing Wisconsin. I look forward to considering the package of bills this spring.”
This is the sixth Speaker’s task force under Speaker Robin Vos since 2013.
