Baraboo – Today Democratic members of the State Assembly Committee on Agriculture toured three farms in the Baraboo area. These tours are part of several the Democrats on the committee have taken and plan to continue.

“I’m proud to continue our farm tours in my own 81st Assembly District,” said Rep. Dave Considine (D-Baraboo), who serves as the committee’s ranking Democrat. “We’ve had wonderful tours so far in the Janesville and Beloit areas, so it’s great to share my own community with fellow members.”

The Democrats on the Agriculture Committee also include Reps. Fred Kessler (D-Milwaukee), Mark Spreitzer (D-Beloit), Jason Fields (D-Milwaukee), and Don Vruwink (D-Milton). Monday’s tours took place at Ski-Hi Fruit Farm, Devil’s Lake Lavender, and The Meat Market. All four are located in Rep. Considine’s Assembly district.

“Agriculture has always been an essential part of Wisconsin’s economy, mostly thanks to the hard work of our farmers, producers, and processors,” Rep. Considine added. “The 81st District has some awesome initiatives happening in our agricultural community, and I’m glad to showcase the area.”
