Walker looks to eliminate long-term care waitlist for children

Gov. Scott Walker today said his next budget will look to eliminate the waitlist for a long-term care program that helps children with developmental and physical disabilities and children with severe emotional issues.
Walker, who’s giving his budget address tomorrow, made the announcement at a Wisconsin Counties Association meeting in Madison today.
The announcement, which would eliminate a waitlist of more than 2,200 children, was one of several funding boosts that Walker announced for counties.
The others include:
*increasing allocations for children and family aids programs by $1.25 million...
