Madison – The Wisconsin Paper Council strongly supports the Senate Republican effort to eliminate the personal property tax in the 2017-19 state budget.
“The personal property tax is a major cost to Wisconsin papermakers,” said WPC President Jeff Landin. “All efforts to reduce their tax burden will make the Wisconsin paper industry more competitive with mills in other states. We appreciate the leadership of Senator Fitzgerald and his caucus on this issue.”
The Paper Council is the voice of the paper industry in Wisconsin representing 18 paper companies in Wisconsin and their 31,000 employees.
