MADISON — The Democratic Party of Wisconsin today announced the hiring of the latest member of its communications team, with Brad Bainum joining party staff as communications advisor, focusing on the 2018 Senate race.
“While the Republican Senate primary slogs on, Brad will be leading our team’s efforts to make sure every Wisconsinite knows that Kevin Nicholson’s biggest financial backer is an out-of-state billionaire CEO from Illinois, and that Senator Leah Vukmir is a right-wing ideologue who’s made a career of siding with CEOs and corporate special interests while selling out our state’s working families,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Martha Laning. “In the process, we’ll continue to highlight the excellent work that Tammy Baldwin has done as a champion for jobs, education, healthcare, and hardworking Wisconsinites in the United States Senate, as we work to make gains statewide and up and down the ballot in 2018.”
Bainum (bradb@wisdems.org) previously worked as press secretary at American Bridge 21st Century, and before that in the office of U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ). In 2014, he worked on then-Rep. Bruce Braley’s 2014 Senate campaign in Iowa.
