“Unfortunately for Nicholson, out-of-state super PACs and Illinois megadonors don’t get to vote in next year’s GOP primary.”

MADISON — Out-of-state special interest puppet Kevin Nicholson today received yet another endorsement from an out-of-state super PAC. And surprise! It’s funded by Nicholson’s favorite out-of-state megadonor: Illinois CEO Dick Uihlein, who previously dropped $3.5 million into another super PAC backing Nicholson’s candidacy and also seemingly helped Nicholson secure an endorsement from the special interest Club for Growth (which Uihlein also happens to fund).

“All this means is that Kevin Nicholson has successfully marketed himself as an out-of-state special interest puppet. Illinois megadonor Dick Uihlein saw Nicholson endorse the GOP tax plan that gifts 80% of cuts to the richest 1%, and now he’s rewarding Nicholson with another out-of-state special interest endorsement,” said Brad Bainum, Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson for the 2018 Senate race. “Unfortunately for Nicholson, out-of-state super PACs and Illinois CEOs don’t get to vote in next year’s GOP primary.”
