Madison, WI – Look no further for another example of how State Senator Leah Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson are wrong for Wisconsin than failure to stand up for working families. While Vukmir has voted to raise her own taxpayer-funded benefits, she’s voted against measures that would raise what working Wisconsinites earn. Meanwhile, Kevin Nicholson – who increasingly takes his cues from Washington special interest groups – is backed by one that fights against measures to raise the minimum wage, Club for Growth.

“Yet again, the declared Republican candidates for Senate find themselves on the same side – and that’s against Wisconsin’s working families,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Martha Laning. “Rather than advocating for wages that would help middle-class families succeed, these candidates are only looking out for themselves and the wealthy special interests that back their political careers.”
