Work to replace the decks on the Beltline bridges over Terrace Avenue in Middleton will begin Monday, July 24. Beltline traffic will remain open in both directions; lanes will be narrowed and shifted to the shoulders. The work zone speed limit will be posted at 45 mph. Motorist are urged to reduce speeds and drive with caution in the work zone.

  • The US 14/University Avenue ramp to the eastbound Beltline will be closed for the duration of the project. Motorists will be detoured to the Airport Road interchange to access the eastbound Beltline, or may use alternate routes.
  • The Greenway Boulevard ramp to the westbound Beltline will be closed for the duration of the project. Motorists can use alternate interchanges in the vicinity to access the westbound Beltline.

Terrace Avenue under the Beltline will be closed to vehicles until project completion. The pedestrian path under the Beltline will be closed for two separate weeks during bridge deck demolition, but otherwise remain open.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of November. The schedule is subject to change based on favorable weather conditions and construction status.
