Starting Monday, May 8, County N will be closed to all traffic, between the Interstate 39/90 northbound ramps and Rinden Road, near the town of Pleasant Springs in Dane County. Alternate local routes are required, and the signed detour route will follow I-39/90 to US 12/18 east to County N. This section of highway is anticipated to reopen in fall 2017.

Recently, County N traffic was shifted east on the bridge over I-39/90. One lane remains open in each direction, and motorists should be alert for these lane shifts. On Monday night (May 8), crews will remove part of the existing bridge to accommodate future construction staging. Interstate traffic will use the interchange ramps to bypass these operations. Delays are anticipated on I-39/90 and County N in this area between 8 p.m. Monday (May 8) to 5 a.m.Tuesday (May 9). Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time to reach their destination.

All lane restrictions, bridge work and construction operations are weather dependent and subject to change.

Motorists are reminded to be alert and drive with caution through work zones.
