Governor Scott Walker announced $986,535 in funding for a taxiway design project at the Dane County Regional Airport. The taxiway will be parallel to Runway 14/32.

Matt Messina, EIT, airport development engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) says the new taxiway will improve safety and traffic flow of the airport. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Runway Safety Action Team recommended the taxiway to reduce runway incursion potentials.

Funds from the state and Dane County will be used for this project.
