Ellendale Road under I-39/90, along the Rock River near Newville, will be closed to traffic starting 6 p.m. Tuesday (April 4) until 6 a.m. Friday (April 7). A crane will be placed in the roadway to set girders for the other half of the northbound Interstate bridge. At other times, flagging operations will occur periodically on Ellendale Road as crews unload trucks and reach material stored along the road. These operations are weather dependent and subject to change.
On the north side of the river, Richardson Springs Road will also be closed under the Interstate from 8 p.m. Friday (April 7) until 8 a.m. Saturday (April 8). Crews will periodically open the roadway for local traffic. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time.
Emergency access will be provided to police, fire and EMS.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, be alert for crews working in this area, and drive with caution through all work zones.
