[Madison, WI]— The Democratic Party of Wisconsin took their disarray to a new level today with U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison scheduled to keynote their annual Founder’s Day Dinner. After voters overwhelmingly rejected them last November it is surprising that the Democrats’ would embrace someone as controversial and inflammatory as Ellison.
“Senator Tammy Baldwin and the Democratic Party owe Wisconsin voters an explanation: do they stand with the inflammatory statements and extreme liberal record of Keith Ellison or do they stand with Wisconsin voters?” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Instead of fighting for hard-working families, Wisconsin Democrats are embracing a controversial radical-leftist and are moving their party even further to the fringe.”
