[Madison, WI] — Governor Scott Walker is fighting for hard-working Wisconsin families – and there is more work to be done. Today at his kick-off rally in Waukesha, Governor Walker announced his run for re-election alongside Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch. With a record that shows they’re fighting for Wisconsinites, and a Democrat field that is offering nothing more than the same failed policies of yesterday, Walker and Kleefisch will keep moving Wisconsin forward. The Republican Party of Wisconsin released the following statement from Chairman Brad Courtney:

“Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch have done incredible things for the state of Wisconsin – they’ve put taxpayers back in charge with over $8 billion in tax cuts by 2018 and made historic investments into our schools. Never running from a fight, Walker and Kleefisch have put hard-working Wisconsin families first and delivered real results. I’m incredibly excited to help them keep moving Wisconsin forward.”

Governor Walker is Moving Wisconsin Forward
– Governor Walker has made historic investments in our schools while cutting taxes by over $8 billion dollars by 2018, and leading the way for Wisconsin to become a top ten state for business for the first time in history.
– Thanks to Governor Scott Walker’s leadership, Foxconn means tens of thousands of jobs for Wisconsin. Sadly, all the Democrats running for governor have opposed legislation in support of those good-paying, family-supporting jobs.
– Property and income taxes will be lower in 2018 than they were in 2010 – Governor Walker even eliminated an entire tax.
