[Madison, WI]— The Republican Party of Wisconsin launched a website and digital ad campaign today against tax-and-spend liberal Kathleen Vinehout. Vinehout is announcing her bid for governor today. While Governor Walker has fought to return power to hard-working Wisconsin taxpayers, Vinehout has attempted time and again to empower big government special interests.
“Governor Walker has fought to return authority to hard-working Wisconsin taxpayers, delivering some $8 billion in tax cuts by the end of 2018,” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Meanwhile, tax-and-spend liberal Kathleen Vinehout wants to take us backwards to the days when she authored the largest tax increase in state history, and ran to Illinois to protect big government specials interests.”
The Republican Party of Wisconsin’s digital ad campaign is accompanied by a website, Vinehoutforgovernor.com. This is in addition to campaigns it has previously launched against Tony Evers, Dana Wachs, Andy Gronik, and Mike McCabe.
State Senator Kathleen Vinehout is a Tax-and-Spend Liberal
- In 2008, Vinehout authored the largest tax increase in Wisconsin history.
- Her “Healthy Wisconsin Plan” would have cost state taxpayers over $15 billion in its first year alone.
- Had the plan passed, the impact on Wisconsin’s budget and economy would have been disastrous, affecting the state’s economic structure for decades to come.
