[Madison, WI]— Phony Mike McCabe filed paperwork today to run for Governor of Wisconsin, continuing a trend of damaged Democrat recruits who have shown they can’t be trusted. While Governor Walker has fought for reforms and followed through on his promises, Phony Mike McCabe has spent years accepting far-left money and practicing partisan politics while hypocritically decrying a partisan system. The Republican Party of Wisconsin released this statement on the news of McCabe’s filing:
“Phony Mike McCabe has posed for years as a reformer while in reality taking money from dark-money heavyweights and secretly practicing the sort of partisan politics he condemns. While Governor Walker has reformed our state, Mike McCabe would do nothing but mislead Wisconsinites and take our state backwards,” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin.
Background of McCabe’s Phoniness
- As Executive Director of Wisconsin Democracy Campaign (WDC), McCabe denounced outside groups that affect legislation without disclosing their donors as a threat to Democracy, yet took money from the left-wing radical and mega-donor George Soros’ Foundation to Promote Open Society.
- McCabe himself was a registered lobbyist who openly advocated for Democrat legislative proposals.
- After his departure from WDC, McCabe started Blue Jean Nation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that claims to “house the politically homeless” and distinguishes itself from either political party. However, five of the ten “citizens” on Blue Jean Nation’s Board of Directors are failed Democrat candidates, while the other five are Democrat donors.
