Republican Party of Wisconsin Statement on DPW Party Chair Vote
[Madison, WI]—Democrats gathered in Madison today to vote for a new party chair.  After historic losses in 2016, Wisconsin Democrats doubled down on their disarray and re-elected Martha Lanning for party chair, even after she failed to convince Hilary Clinton that Wisconsin was at risk in 2016 and led Democrats to historic defeats.  The Republican Party of Wisconsin released the following statement in response:
“Wisconsin Democrats are doubling down on their disarray and track record of failure.  Instead of changing direction, they’re banking on failed leadership heading into 2018,” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin.  “With no serious candidates willing to take on Wisconsin’s comeback, Senator Tammy Baldwin deeply vulnerable after protecting the Washington status quo, all Wisconsin Democrats have left is a doomed agenda that looks to take us back to the failed policies of yesterday.”
