Madison, Wisconsin—The author of what would have been the largest tax increase in Wisconsin history has made clear her intentions to mount a run for governor, according to a report by the Associated Press and other statewide media.  Tax-and-spend liberal State Senator Kathleen Vinehout recently filed the paperwork to form a committee for a statewide run.  While Governor Walker has returned power to hard-working Wisconsin taxpayers, Kathleen Vinehout wants to empower big government special interests.

“While Gov. Scott Walker has fought to return authority back to the Wisconsin taxpayers, tax-and-spend liberal Kathleen Vinehout wants to take us backward – to the days when she authored the largest tax increase in state history, and fled to Illinois to protect the big government special interests,” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin.
