Rep. Josh Zepnick, who has resisted calls to resign after he was accused of kissing two women without their consent, has been stripped of his committee assignments.

A spokeswoman for Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, said Dems have not yet named replacements for Zepnick’s spots on five committees.

Asked if Minority Leader Gordon Hintz was pursuing other disciplinary actions against Zepnick such as censure, Vos spokeswoman Kit Beyer said, “That’s all we know right now.”

Hintz said in a statement removing Zepnick from the committees was “one of the few disciplinary actions available.”

“Moving forward, I will consult with members of the Assembly Democratic Caucus, as well as the majority party, to ensure this issue is addressed in an appropriate manner,” Hintz said.

Zepnick did not immediately respond to a message on his cell phone or an email seeking comment.
