Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin released a new TV ad today that warns Dem Tony Evers is “too big of a risk” to be in charge of Wisconsin.

The ad features two people, identified only as Pat, from Hales Corners, and Geoff, of Onalaska.

Pat opens the ad saying, “There are a lot of reasons Tony Evers should not be in charge of Wisconsin.”

Geoff calls Evers “too big of a risk” because he’ll raise taxes.

“But he doesn’t say by how much,” Pat adds.

Geoff adds Evers is “open to gas taxes as high as a dollar” and Pat says he “could raise taxes on homes and small businesses. This November is an important vote for the future of Wisconsin.”

Geoff says, “Let’s keep Wisconsin growing” before both urge a vote for Gov. Scott Walker to close the spot.

The group said it’s a seven-figure buy, its fourth ad in the guv’s race. The group had spent nearly $5.6 million to support Walker between the Aug. 14 primary and Oct. 17, according to a check of independent expenditure reports.
