Madison, WI – AFT-Wisconsin has endorsed Tony Evers for Governor of Wisconsin.
AFT-Wisconsin members have stood shoulder to shoulder with Evers for nearly two decades now. Throughout his time in the Department of Public Instruction, on the Wisconsin College Technical System Board, and as a Regent for the University of Wisconsin System, members have fought together with Evers for a high-quality public education for Wisconsin students at every level.
“AFT-Wisconsin members look forward to standing with Evers as we restore full school funding (including for early childhood education), support technical college and apprentice programs, reinvigorate the Wisconsin Idea in the UW System, and create truly fair and responsive state agencies,” said AFT-Wisconsin President Kim Kohlhaas. “Together we will put students and our communities first.”
