Over the course of the last six weeks, Milwaukeeans were given a plethora of options to cast their ballots. Residents of our city were able to vote early and vote at locations close and convenient to their homes and jobs. As a result, Milwaukee played a sizable role in the 2018 midterm elections.

When Milwaukee votes, it changes the dynamic of elections in Wisconsin. Voters here have shown that in order to make it to the people’s house, you’ve got to make it through the city.

Our citizens want to vote and to me, last night’s election results prove that when they have options and time, they will.

Thank you and congratulations to our electorate for exercising your right to vote in an historic fashion!
