Anderson campaign invites the public to protest the
Wisconsin Broadcaster’s Gubernatorial Debate on 10/19, and
to participate in Edgewood H.S. Gubernatorial Forum on
10/21.

Madison, WI, October 18th, 2018 – Libertarian Party candidates for Governor Phil Anderson is organizing a protest of the Wisconsin Broadcaster’s Association Gubernatorial Debate, to be held at WMTV 15, 615 Forward Dr., in Madison on Friday October 19th. The protest will begin at 6pm.

“The WBA is hosting a debate, on behalf of all the TV and radio stations in Wisconsin and
excluding those candidates that don’t spend enough money with them,” stated Phil Anderson, Libertarian candidate for Governor. “The broadcasters have a clear conflict of interest and have set their invitation criteria to serve their own financial and political interests, not the interests of Wisconsin voters.”

The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association requires 10% in recent polling, as well as $250,000 in funds raised, to be included in their debates. The Anderson campaign has filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Ethics Board, which has yet to issue a ruling. Edgewood H.S. is sponsoring a debate at Edgewood High School in Madison on Sunday October 21st at 4pm. All six gubernatorial candidates have been invited, 4 have confirmed attendance.
“We will protest, giving a voice to those whose voices are ignored by the WBA and the 2 big
parties, continues Anderson. “I go and speak whenever and wherever I’m invited. Governor
Walker and Tony Evers only go where they can control the environment, and other candidates are not invited. This debate process has become a sham, and the WBA is a major part of it.”
