Republican Attorneys General Association: Attorney General Brad Schimel grants another $4 million for school safety

Wisconsin schools are getting another round of school safety grants to the tune of $4 million. Attorney General Brad Schimel has made it a top priority to secure Wisconsin’s schools and ensure the safety of all students and staff.

Here’s what you may have missed:

Fox 6: “Attorney General Brad Schimel announced on Thursday, July 19 a list of 89 schools and school districts that have been awarded the next round of grants through the Wisconsin Department of Justice School Safety Grant program, administered by DOJ’s Office of School Safety. Combined, the 89 schools and school districts will receive $3,980,473 which will be spent on building safety improvements, as well as mental health training for faculty and staff.”

NBC 12: “Among those receiving money in the Northwoods are the Antigo and Wabeno school districts. In total the two schools will receive nearly $200,000. The grant will help schools secure entrances, install security cameras, and make other safety improvements.”

News8000: “A total of $3,980,473 will be spent on building safety improvements, as well as mental health training for faculty and staff. Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District received $205,023 and St. Mark Lutheran School in Eau Claire was granted $19,996.”
