GREEN BAY — U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin wrapped up her In Your Corner Tour, a week-long statewide swing to highlight the issues at the heart of communities across Wisconsin.
“As I traveled across Wisconsin on this tour, I met Wisconsinites who want someone in Washington who is in their corner, not in the pocket of powerful special interests,” said Tammy Baldwin. “Whether it’s running a dairy farm, working in a paper mill or combating the addiction crisis in their community, Wisconsinites are working hard to move Wisconsin forward and they should have someone in Washington who is working hard for them, not special interests.”
In Racine, Tammy kicked-off the tour with local African-American business leaders at Legacy on Main.
In Kenosha, Tammy joined local community leaders and organizers in Washington Park.
In Janesville, Tammy met with Wisconsin workers rebuilding our roads at a construction site on I-90.
In Monroe, Tammy visited Wylymar Farms to tour their dairy operation and hear about the challenges faced by dairy farmers across Wisconsin.
In Potosi, Tammy toured the Potosi Brewery and the National Brewery Museum with local brewers.
In Gays Mills, Tammy held a roundtable with rural broadband advocates to discuss efforts to expand high-speed internet access across the state.
In Cashton, Tammy spoke with farmers and workers at Organic Valley and toured their new office complex with the co-op’s leadership.
In New Richmond, Tammy stopped by Table 65 restaurant to discuss the importance of organizing and highlight her Reward Work Act to boost Wisconsin workers.
In Milltown, Tammy joined Packers fans at Lumber Jack’s Saloon to call for action on her Go Pack Go Act to make sure every Wisconsinite has access to the Packers on game day.
In Eau Claire, Tammy held a roundtable with Wisconsinites who’ve been affected by the addiction crisis. Earlier this year, Tammy told her personal story about how Wisconsin’s opioid crisis hits close to home.
In Wausau, Tammy toured Applied Fab & Machining, a veteran-owned business, to highlight the bipartisan BRAVE Act to combat veteran unemployment.
In Stevens Point, Tammy held a discussion on clean drinking water with local conservationists, farmers and public health leaders.
In Fitchburg, Tammy held a roundtable with African-American women business leaders at the Progress Center for Black Women.
In New London, Tammy spoke with Wisconsinites about the need for affordable health care for all and her bipartisan efforts to lower prescription drug prices.

Tammy, who had a pre-existing medical condition as a child, announced this month that she will lead the effort in Congress to reverse a new Trump administration rule that undermines guaranteed coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.
