Bill aimed at attracting workers to the state clears Joint Finance along party-lines

A bill that would spend $6.8 million on an effort to attract workers to Wisconsin cleared the Joint Finance Committee on a 11-3 party-line vote. 
Dem committee members, though, argued the bill was a misuse of resources and that it was Republican policies in the first place that have made it difficult to retain young people in the state. 
"The issue is you haven't all made the investments in communities to retain and attract millennials," said Rep. Chris Taylor, D-Madison, adding millennials want to see investments in parks, transit and the environment.
