Seeks to become alder in District 2
(Madison) Local activist Jim White announced today his campaign to be the next Madison Alder for District 2. Jim White is a dedicated community organizer, who has worked to elect progressives in Madison and around the state. He serves on the board of the Tenant Resource Center and his professional background includes over a decade of business management experience.
As alder, he will work to create more affordable housing and expand public transportation, especially to underserved communities. Jim is committed to working with stakeholders to address Madison’s staggering racial inequities. He will work on other problems crucial to the Isthmus, such as flooding mitigation and sensible traffic changes that will improve community safety.
“I’m running to engage our community in local politics like never before,” says Jim. “With Madison’s voter participation at an all-time high, now is the time to bring every person in our community to the table to address the issues we all face.”
