Dem businessman Kurt Kober’s first TV ad of his bid for lt. guv stresses the importance of public education in shaping his life.
Standing next to his wife, Abby, Kober introduces himself, saying he’s a “proud product of Wisconsin public schools.”
He asks viewers to guess which one was more important in shaping his life before listing the schools he attended in Wisconsin. That includes UW-Green Bay, where he met Abby, and UW-Madison.
“The answer is all of them. As your lieutenant governor, I’ll fight to once again make funding public education our No. 1 priority,” Kober says before asking viewers for their vote in the Aug. 14 primary.
Kober’s campaign said the ad is running on broadcast in the Madison market and statewide on digital.
He faces former state Rep. Mandela Barnes, of Milwaukee, in next week’s primary.
