This weekend, Democratic Governors Chair Jay Inslee (D-WA) will be campaigning in Wisconsin and Michigan for Tony Evers and Gretchen Whitmer.
This cycle, Democrats are on offense in the Midwest, with the opportunity to flip multiple Midwestern governors races from red to blue. Non-partisan analysts have shifted several races in the region towards Democrats in recent days. Last week, Buzzfeed News reported that Rust Belt states including Wisconsin and Michigan look “grim” for Republican governors.
While in Wisconsin and Michigan, Inslee will rally volunteers, launch canvasses, and highlight the importance of electing Evers and Whitmer to make important investments in the states’ schools, health care, and (damn) roads.
