Fourth Cabinet Member Speaks Out, Fact Check Says Walker Plans Will Gut Pre-existing Conditions, Trump Aides Down on Walker’s Election Odds
It’s debate day in Wisconsin, and Scott Walker is still reeling from what was possibly his worst day of his campaign to date. It’s hard to even figure out what was the worst piece of news for him. Decide for yourself:
Yesterday morning, the Washington Post reported that President Trump’s advisors think his upcoming trip to Wisconsin is a waste of time because he won’t win the election.
From the report:
Some advisers have urged him, without success, not to travel to Texas or Wisconsin, two states where the president has announced campaign rallies next week. The advisers had argued he would be wasting his time, because they believe Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) is going to win his race, while Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wis.) is likely to lose his.
But then, another bombshell dropped when a fourth Walker cabinet member, Paul Jadin, spoke out against the governor for his mismanagement and putting his political career before the good of the state.

It became clear that his focus was not on meeting his obligations to the public but to advancing his own political career at a tremendous cost to taxpayers and families. As we come to a critical election, we find it imperative that we share with Wisconsin voters why we will not be voting for Governor Walker.
But perhaps the most damning event of the day was Politifact Wisconsin confirming Tony Evers’ claim that Walker supports plans to gut pre-existing conditions for Wisconsinites. Walker has repeatedly claimed people will remain covered under his plans. That’s just not true.

So, Walker supports two plans, or initiatives, that would result in eliminating blanket protections for people with pre-existing conditions… he hasn’t spelled out an alternative that would provide protections that Obamacare does.
So, what’s the worst: National Republicans predicting your demise, former cabinet members endorsing your opponent, or having the most potent attack against your candidacy confirmed as factual?

“Scott Walker is limping into the debate tonight after what was possibly the worst day of his campaign,” said DPW spokesman Alex Japko. “National Republicans think he’s a goner, his cabinet members are throwing him under the bus, and oh, by the way, it’s now confirmed that he’s pushing plans to gut protections for Wisconsinites with pre-existing conditions. It’s clear the sharks are circling and Walker’s campaign is taking on water fast.”
