WisDems: Response to AG Schimel’s latest ad

MADISON — The following is a response from Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Courtney Beyer on Brad Schimel’s latest ad.

“Under Brad Schimel’s watch, opioid-related deaths have spiked 43%. Emergency room visits for suspected overdoses have risen a staggering 109%. When credible analysis suggested big pharma was to blame for the opioid crisis, Brad Schimel looked the other way and refused to join bipartisan lawsuits to hold them accountable.

“Instead of doing the right thing to keep Wisconsinites safe and healthy, Brad Schimel has taken money from opioid manufacturers and spearheaded a lawsuit that could jeopardize health care access for those struggling with addiction. It couldn’t be clearer that Brad Schimel has left our state worse off.”
