Madison, Wis. (October 2, 2018) – Edgewood College today announced the inTuition Grant program. inTuition will enable academically talented students to enjoy the benefits of a small college experience, at a tuition rate comparable to Wisconsin’s flagship university, UW-Madison. Dr. Scott Flanagan, President of Edgewood College, made the announcement this afternoon at a meeting of the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (WAICU).

“Over the past few weeks, Edgewood College has been recognized by numerous publications and organizations for excellence in delivering on our promise to help students connect learning, beliefs, and action in pursuit of a more just and compassionate world. We’ve achieved this by remaining among the most affordable private colleges in the state,” Dr. Flanagan said.

“The inTuition program takes these commitments—to deliver on our promise and to ensure affordability—to a new level. We are excited about providing even greater clarity to students who have achieved great success in high school that they’ll be able to afford an Edgewood College education, that they can get into their program of study, and that their investment of time and resources is worth it.”

Students accepted into the inTuition Grant program are guaranteed the same level of institutional aid for all four years. Further, these students are guaranteed admission into the school and academic program of their choice. Based on their academic profile, all students who qualify will be offered the inTuition Grant automatically.

The new program will be available to first-time, fulltime freshmen in the fall of 2019. The announcement comes at a time when students and families are engaged in college searches, and when they are taking important steps in determining affordability for higher education. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, became available on October 1. The FAFSA is a tool that new and returning students use to determine eligibility for financial aid.
