Cassi Fenili, Deputy Campaign Manager

Before joining Tony’s campaign as Deputy Campaign Manager, she served as Operations Director for TFW and previously worked on and off for eight years at the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. In 2016 she worked for Hillary for Wisconsin as the Surrogates Director. Cassi was born and raised in the Appleton area and currently lives in Madison with her adorable dog Jack. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, with degrees in Political Science and Social Welfare.

Zach Madden, Deputy Political Director

Zach graduated from Edgewood College in 2014 with a bachelors degree in Political Science. While in college Zach served as president of Edgewood College Student Government, and was elected Chair of College Democrats of Wisconsin. Zach managed State Representative Lisa Subeck’s primary campaign in 2014 and then worked as her chief of staff until joining Tony for Wisconsin. Zach also has worked on several other local and legislative campaigns in Dane County and Wisconsin.

Jeff Pertl, Policy Director 

Jeff Pertl has joined the team as Policy Director, taking a leave from the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), where he has works as a senior advisor for almost a decade.

Prior to joining the DPI, Jeff worked for the Wisconsin Association of School Boards, Wisconsin State Senate, Broydrick & Associations, the College Access Foundation of California and the United Council of UW-Students.

Additionally, he managed then Congresswoman Baldwin’s 2006 re-election and has worked on several m political campaigns and serves on the Dane County Board of Supervisors. Jeff holds a masters degree in Public Policy from UC-Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in classics and ancient history from UW-Madison.

Cara Connors, Scheduling 

Cara Connors has been with the Tony Evers campaign since October 2017 when she joined the team as an intern. Originally from Sun Prairie, Cara is a second year student in the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Elissa Koppel, Finance Assistant

Elissa Koppel serves as a finance assistant for Tony for Wisconsin. Koppel returns to Wisconsin after working as a community crew leader in Washington, D.C. with the Student Conservation Association. She will begin a Masters in Public Affairs in 2019.

Michael Major, Operations Assistant 

Michael is a UW-Madison Senior majoring in Geography with hopes to work in city planning and urban development. He interned for State Senator Chris Larson before joining Tony’s team in January as an intern. He currently serves an operations assistant for the campaign.

Britt Cudaback, Deputy Communications Director

Britt Cudaback is a Nebraska-native who has been involved in Democratic politics since 2012, working on local, state, and federal elections and in both the Nebraska and Wisconsin State Legislatures. Britt moved to Wisconsin in 2014 to go to school at UW-Madison, and most recently served as Chief of Staff to State Representative Melissa Sargent before taking a leave to join Team Tony as the Deputy Communications Director.
