Tony Evers’ new TV ad says it’s time for a guv who “cares about us.”
The spot, the second of the state superintendent’s general election bid, opens with the narrator saying Evers believes “What’s best for our kids is what’s best for Wisconsin.”
The narrator then adds Evers knows investing “in people, not foreign corporations” is the best way to prepare kids for 21st century jobs and attract new jobs. Evers has been a critic of the state incentive package Gov. Scott Walker negotiated for Taiwanese company Foxconn, though the electronics manufacturer isn’t mentioned by name in the ad.
The narrator pledges as guv, Evers would lover health care costs for families, rebuild state infrastructure and invest in schools.
The narrator closes the spot, “Tony Evers. It’s time for a change and a governor who cares about us.”
The campaign said it’s a six-figure, statewide buy that began today on broadcast TV and includes a digital component.
