Guelig Waste Removal awarded contracts for work along County Highway H

MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. – Last night, the Village of Mount Pleasant Board voted to award Fond du Lac County-based Guelig Waste Removal And Demolition LLC (Guelig Waste Removal) with a $366,665 contract to conduct demolition work tied to Foxconn’s $10 billion, advanced manufacturing campus. Previously, Guelig Waste Removal was awarded two other contracts for demolition associated with the Foxconn project. The bid team includes three other Wisconsin-based companies.

“This next round of demolition will be another major step in preparing for construction of Foxconn’s Wisconn Valley Science and Technology Park,” said Claude Lois, Project Director for the Village of Mount Pleasant. “In keeping with our commitment to Wisconsin First, the awarded team includes four Wisconsin-based companies.”

“We are excited to continue our work with the Village of Mount Pleasant,” said Bob Guelig, Owner of Guelig Waste Removal and Demolition, LLC. “That a small, Wisconsin business is growing because of the Foxconn project is a testament to the statewide impact of this project.”

Guelig Waste Removal, based in Eden, Wisconsin, was the only bidder for Bid Package C. Additionally, all three subcontractors on the bidding team are based in Wisconsin, including companies in Racine and Milwaukee Counties. Subcontractors include KPH Construction, based in Milwaukee; Krizan’s Well Drilling, based in Union Grove; and Pat’s Services, Inc., based in Burlington.

This work will focus on building demolition along County Highway H, from Highway 11 to County Highway KR.
