Wisconsin Rapids — David Gorski, Democratic Party nominee for the 72nd State Assembly, criticized his opponent for skipping the annual League of Women Voters of the Wisconsin Rapids Area candidate forum to be held on Oct. 23.
The League of Women Voters of the Wisconsin Rapids Area (LWVWRA) and Wisconsin Community Media (WRCM-TV) hosted a candidate forum for candidates competing on the Nov. 6 ballot.
“This is where we are under Republican Party government. No-shows at candidate forums, no accountability, and no concern with what Wisconsin people think and experience,” said David Gorski. ”Scott Krug takes his orders from special interest donors and Party insiders. So how families and communities feel about issues is beside the point for politicians like Krug.”
Krug told League officials he had a prior commitment conflicting with the annual forum. WRCM-TV allowed Krug to tape his answers to 15 questions ahead of the forum tonight.
“Mr. Krug does not do such forums. And Krug is a no-show for Adams County citizens’ clear-water committee meetings, citizen advisory meetings, local union meetings; name it, Scott Krug is not there,”
This is the second consecutive run for the office by David Gorski who was the nominee of the Democratic Party in 2016.
Gorski is a Democrat and member of the Democratic Progressive Caucus.
David Gorski is a retired counselor and drug-and-alcohol prevention specialist for the Nekoosa School System, living in the town Grand Rapids.
