More than 96,250 Job Openings Listed Today

MADISON – Governor Scott Walker visited the Workforce Development Center in La Crosse today to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of JobCenterOfWisconsin.com, an online tool used to connect job seekers with employers. The site has more than 35,000 resumes posted for employers and more than 96,250 job postings for job seekers.

“Wisconsin is working,” said Governor Walker. “More people are working in 2018 than ever before in our state’s history, our labor force participation rate is one of the best in the country, and there are currently more than 96,250 open jobs listed on JobCenterofWisconsin.com. We’re celebrating the site’s 10-year anniversary here in La Crosse today because it’s an outstanding tool that connects job seekers with rewarding careers.”

Governor Walker also proclaimed September “Workforce Development Month” throughout the State of Wisconsin. Since taking office, Governor Walker has invested more than $365 million into worker training programs and workforce development initiatives.
