GREEN BAY – Wisconsin added 9,100 private sector jobs in July, and the state’s unemployment rate remained below 3.0 percent for a record six straight months, according to information released by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD). Governor Scott Walker visited Breakthrough Fuel in Green Bay today to discuss Wisconsin’s thriving economy and booming job growth following the release of jobs data.
“Our unemployment rate has been below 3.0 percent for a record six straight months and job creation continues to be strong with 9,100 private sector jobs created in July,” Governor Walker said. “Breakthrough Fuel here in Green Bay is an excellent example of our economic success, having grown from a single employee a decade ago to more than 85 employees today. Wisconsin’s future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades.” Breakthrough Fuels was established in Green Bay in 2004. The company creates transportation and supply chain strategies for shippers in an effort to help companies save on fuel to ship products around the world.
