MADISON – Governor Scott Walker today released the following Memorial Day statement honoring those who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces:
Today is a day to remember the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms we hold dear today. We honor their lives and their service to our country as we pray for their families and loved ones.
Governor Walker also issued Executive Order 293 ordering the flag of the United States and the flag of the State of Wisconsin be flown at half-staff from sunrise until noon on Memorial Day. A copy of the executive order is attached to this release.
