MADISON—Today, Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Dallet will take the oath of office in a formal investiture ceremony in the Wisconsin State Capitol. The event will take place at 4 p.m. in the State Assembly Chamber. Justice Dallet was elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court in April after serving for 10 years on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

During the ceremony, which is a ceremonial sitting of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Chief Justice Patience Roggensack will open and close the court session, and a number of Justice Dallet’s new colleagues on the Wisconsin Supreme Court will be present.

Former Justice Louis Butler will administer the oath of office, and expected speakers include:

· Judge Lisa Stark, Deputy Chief Judge of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals

· Hannah Rosenthal, former U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor & Combat Anti-Semitism

· Tom Schneider, former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin

· Ellie Dallet, daughter of Justice Dallet.

Justice Dallet will also make remarks.

The media is invited. More than 200 people expected to attend this free and open-to-the-public event, including judges, members of the bar, elected officials, and friends and family of Justice Dallet.
