Grafton – Ahead of Donald Trump’s first State of the Union, non-profit leader and business executive Dan Kohl issued the following statement:

“The State of the Union offers the opportunity for a reset in Washington. I hope that the President will deliver a unifying speech that outlines real solutions that can receive bipartisan support in Washington.

I hope to hear details on a real infrastructure plan that puts real resources behind the effort to rebuild our roads, bridges, water systems, and broadband infrastructure. I hope to hear a commitment of new funding and new strategies to address the opioid crisis impacting communities across the 6th District.

But more than any specific proposal, my desire is that the President uses this opportunity to focus on the values that unite Americans so that we can come together to address the real problems in our communities.”
