Green Bay — A week after hand-delivering a letter requesting two debates across the 8th Congressional District, Beau Liegeois held a press conference in Green Bay today to give an update on Mike Gallagher’s response.

It should surprise no one that he has not acknowledged our request.

Beau said, “I think Mike is a wimp! Like his TV ad in 2016 that showed him running, he is just running away from his constituents, and being held accountable.

The people of Northeast Wisconsin deserve an answer to why he attacked our healthcare system, and voting with his corporate special interest donors by giving them a massive tax giveaway that is burying middle-class families in debt at an unprecedented rate.”

Liegeois continued, “I am ready to debate Mike anytime and anyplace. Like I have said the day I announced my candidacy; this is where I grew up, where I am raising my family, and where I will always call home.”

Beau Liegeois is a lifelong native of the Green Bay area. He is a graduate of Green Bay Southwest High School, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Valparaiso University Law School. He currently serves as an Assistant District Attorney in Brown County where he focuses on prosecuting drug crimes. He also served 8 years as a Captain in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, where he served as a Judge Advocate. Beau is the proud husband of Katie, from New Franken, and father of Evelyn Rey. They currently reside in Allouez.
