Madison— The Wisconsin Elections Commission approved ballot status for the fall 2018 election for state Rep. Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton) after she submitted in excess of the required 200 nominating signatures and her Declaration of Candidacy form earlier this week.

“It is in an honor and a privilege to serve the 31st Assembly District. I am proud of my numerous legislative accomplishments that have truly made a positive impact on my constituents and the citizens of Wisconsin. I believe the Wisconsin of 2018 is so much better than when I first ran for office in 2010.

“Unemployment is at a record low, property taxes are below what they were in 2010, and Wisconsin’s Moody’s credit rating was boosted to Aa1.  We froze UW tuition for five years in a row while providing millions of dollars in new financial aid assistance for all types of post-secondary education.  The Interstate 39/90 expansion is funded and on schedule, and K-12 education funding hit a record high.

“I know that additional work remains to address the high cost of health insurance and the long-term sustainability of the segregated transportation fund.  I would like to see more income tax reductions and comprehensive reform to make our tax code fairer and flatter. I also want to continue my efforts to ensure that all Wisconsin youth succeed despite challenges they may face at school and at home.

“I look forward to another positive, inclusive re-election campaign, and am excited to build on my record as a great listener, advocate and problem-solver who works with everyone to get things done.

The general election will be held on Tuesday November 6, 2018. The 31st Assembly District contains part or all of the following communities:
