Blanchardville – Democrats are turning out in extraordinary numbers in 2018, placing Kriss Marion, Democratic candidate for State Senate District 17, in a strong position going into November. Marion outperformed her Republican opponent, Howard Marklein, by 28%.

“I am honored and humbled by the support I’ve received as we race toward November 6 in Senate District 17,” said Marion.

Overall, Democratic primary turnout exceeded Republican turnout in every county in the 17th Senate District.

“As I go door to door in communities across the district, I am seeing how motivated people are this election cycle to vote for change,” she continued. “Voters tell me over and over again how excited they are that I took on Madison over the cookie bill. People in the 17th just want someone who is going to fight for the resources our rural communities, farms and schools need, and they know I’m going to do that.”
