Candidate for Wisconsin Supreme Court Earns Endorsement from Nation’s Leading Pro-Choice Advocacy Group

NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Rebecca Dallet for Wisconsin Supreme Court.

“Courts matter, and we need pro-choice judges like Rebecca Dallet on the bench to protect our fundamental rights,” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “Wisconsin’s next Supreme Court Justice will have huge influence over the state for decades to come. Rebecca’s commitment to justice and fairness shows that she will put the health and wellbeing of Wisconsin women and families first.”

“I will be a fair and impartial justice, refusing to allow special interests influence my campaign, especially when it comes to my values of fairness and equality,” said Dallet. “One major part of that is women’s access to a full range of healthcare options, especially when my opponent is supported by a group that wants to ban all forms of birth control and abortion even in cases of rape or incest.”

Dallet has spent more than 20 years in Wisconsin court rooms fighting for justice. She has overseen both civil and criminal courts, and spent her career, first as a prosecutor and now as a judge, working to make Wisconsin safer.
NARAL Pro-Choice America and its network of state affiliates are dedicated to protecting and expanding reproductive freedom for all Americans. NARAL works to guarantee that every woman has the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion. In recognition of its work defending our constitutional right to choose, Fortune Magazine described NARAL as “one of the top 10 advocacy groups in America.”
