2000 Needed To Qualify For Spring Ballot

RACINE, WI – Judge Lisa Neubauer, Chief Judge of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, filed over 5500 signatures today to qualify for the 2019 Spring Election for Wisconsin State Supreme Court. With two weeks remaining before the deadline, Judge Neubauer was the first to file.

“This was a team effort,” said Judge Neubauer. “Volunteers from every corner of the state collected signatures in record time. Wisconsinites are sick of the partisan games and outside dark money infecting our judicial races, and are enthusiastically backing my candidacy for Supreme Court.”

This comes on the heels of endorsements of Judge Neubauer for Justice from over 300 Judges, 45 District Attorneys, and 20 Sheriffs.

After joining the Court of Appeals, Judge Neubauer was elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2014, and has served as Chief Judge since 2015. She had almost two decades of experience as a litigation attorney at Foley & Lardner before joining the appellate court and also served as a law clerk for Judge Barbara Crabb, then-Chief Judge of the United States District Court, Western District of Wisconsin. Judge Neubauer lives in Racine with her husband, Jeff, and they are the proud parents of three children.
