A new ad knocks state Supreme Court candidate Michael Screnock for not supporting stronger recusal rules for justices that hear cases involving campaign contributors.

The ad, from the liberal Greater Wisconsin Committee, says the Sauk County Circuit Court judge thinks it’s fine for judges in Wisconsin to “decide cases involving their big campaign contributors.”

“A former corporate lawyer who defended big banks, factory farms and polluters, Screnock says judges should be able to decide cases involving corporate special interests that spend million to elected them,” the narrator says. “That’s wrong.”
