NextGen America to Host “Keeping Up With The Candidates” Event with Democratic Gubernatorial Candidates in Milwaukee
Fundraiser will engage young voters and feature a Democratic gubernatorial candidate debate

Milwaukee, WI — On Sunday, July 22, NextGen America will host a “Keeping Up With The Candidates” #YouthVote event in Milwaukee with Democratic candidates for Governor of Wisconsin. The proceeds from the NextGen America fundraiser will go to a local progressive organization — Urban Underground — and the forum will give young voters a chance to learn which candidate’s platform most aligns with their values and priorities. Food and drinks will be served.

At the event, young voters will have the opportunity to ask candidates where they stand on issues like the cost of college, climate change, and social justice. This will be the ninth “Keeping Up With the Candidates” #YouthVote event hosted by NextGen America, as well as the first held in Wisconsin and the first to host candidates running in a statewide race. With young voters energized like never before, NextGen Wisconsin is working to organize this crucial electorate to ensure they make their voices heard at the ballot box in November.
